Description
6TB12 is a solid-state dump type battery charge regulator, featuring fully encapsulated moisture proof electronics.
Its function is to prevent possible battery damage by terminating the charge once the batteries are full and also to provide a passive load to prevent the turbine over speeding once it is no longer charging the battery.
The 6TB12 monitors battery terminal voltage and will activate the dump circuit once an adjustable upper preset limit is reached, usually 14.2 V DC.
This prevents any over voltage condition at the batteries.
As the battery voltage falls due to ongoing consumption, the dump circuit will switch off and the generator will resume charging the battery.
6TB regulators are supplied complete with fitting instructions, dump resistors, connection cables and sundries.
