Description
A limited number of D400 wind generators manufactured in 2003-2004, used a single M6 grub screw to secure the hub centre to the alternator shaft.
Later models used a two hole hub centre secured by 2 opposing cap head bolts.
Should this screw work loose in service, wear can occur between the alternator shaft and air rotor hub resulting in noise and vibration from the turbine.
Note that this part is produced in hard anodised aluminium.
A new hub centre restores tolerances and smooth quiet operation.
